Jacob Rubashkin Promoted to Deputy Editor

Inside Elections is excited to announce the promotion of Jacob Rubashkin to Deputy Editor.
Jacob has been an integral part of the team since joining Inside Elections from NBC News in early 2020 as a reporter and analyst. He will continue his thorough writing on individual races while taking on an increased role helping guide Inside Elections’ coverage of the key races for House, Senate, and governor, as well as the presidential race. He’s also co-host of The Inside Elections Podcast and contributor to FiveThirtyEight.
In the last four years, Jacob has appeared on C-SPAN’s Washington Journal, the BBC, Scripps News, Cheddar and WUSA9, CBS’s Washington, DC affiliate. He's been quoted in major outlets including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, the Associated Press, Fox News, and local outlets across the country. On election night in 2020, Jacob worked on the decision desk at Edison Research, which provides results to ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN.
As a Contributing Analyst, Bradley Wascher holds the keys to Inside Elections’ Baseline and Vote Above Replacement (VAR) metrics. Thanks to his data analysis, Inside Elections can provide partisan performance data for every state, congressional district, legislative district, and county in the country.
Bradley was also a key contributor to Inside Elections’ work in the Colorado redistricting process and will help provide key presidential battleground state analysis in the coming year.
